First Designer Post

Due to the recent death of one of the world's most influential designers of modern times, I think it is only proper to start with this designer as our first.

His life was nothing short of incredible. The impact he created on modern fashion will not cease to inspire future designers for quite some time. His designs were practical, timeless and easy to wear. This, along with his business sense, made his quite career quite successful. The designer is none other than Yves Henri Donat Mathieu Saint Laurent, later known simply as Yves Saint Laurent.

Throughout the week I will update with different facts pictures and stories of this designer.

Summary

As my first post, I will go over the point of this blog. I became quickly fascinated with the history of designers; the creations they first put on the runway, the origin of things we see daily, etc.

I will pick a new designer every week or two and write about him or her. That's the simplicity of it.
